First for Inktober

So I'm actually only going to update my Inktober at the end of every week so that I'm not spamming mini posts but this one is to keep everything uniform and seven drawings to a post later. Plus I really wanted to kick off Inktober with something fun.

My first drawing for Inktober is also a redraw I've wanted to do for a while now. It's of one my early drawings from roughly twenty years ago. I was Five.

What's green, breathes fire, and eats trains for breakfast? 

Did that twenty years ago for dad. He keeps it in his toolbox. Below is my Inktober one from this year.

AHHH GODZILLA!!!

He's big, he's angry he's...a lot less cuddly. Drawn with ballpoint pen on Manilla paper. That is one hell of a time skip.

Midnight splash

Okay it's not even midnight anymore but I thought I'd at least upload the first part of the splash animation considering I spent all evening doing this.

Dive! Dive! Dive!

Still have some work to do on this one but considering how much I managed to get done this evening, I'll continue on with this tomorrow and probably combine it with the other two so that they are in one video. 

Now all I have to do is animate earth and I'll be an Avatar of FX haha

Smoke out!

Did a 2D smoke FX today like I said I would.

Smoking off banana

This one proved a bit more difficult to do then fire but not impossible. Still needs some polish and I'll probably do that after I finish the water FX tomorrow. Then I'll combine them into one video so It doesn't need to be clicked through.

Also fun note, I realized my fire was rendered out at 12fps which is just a no no so I've rerendered that one for the final composition

Heating up

Did a small 2D FX fire today. An old friend told me I should look into doing FX so that's what I'm gonna do this week. Today was fire(#lit), tomorrow is smoke, and then after that will be water.

                             Give me the power, of man's red flower so I can be like you!

Told her I would do 3 this week so here is 1 of 3. I'll compile all 3 of them at the end of the week into 1 video. 

Something Different

Decided it would be fun to draw something different from my usual fantasy anime character repertoire so I did some scenery sketches yesterday. Found myself at the library in White rock so
I pulled out some scenery reference books for inspiration.

These where actually really fun. You can expect more variety to start showing up.

Moving on, big drawing project. A friend of mine challenged me to do some concept style monster art work so for now I have thumbnails and a rough layout. I used the thumbnails to get an idea of what direction to take this drawing.

This is gonna be a two page spread in my sketchbook. Pretty excited to work on this one.I'll be updating this step by step as I go and once it's finished I'll have it all compiled into one post.

Starting today I will be ramping up into Inktober! That means one drawing a day no matter what. It might be a sketch, a scribble, or a full blown drawing! This is actually my fourth day drawing consecutively  Either way expect consistent updates up to and including Inktober!
